Dear Parents and Guardians,
Each year, we ask all families to complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application. Even if you are unsure whether you qualify, we strongly encourage you to apply.
Why is this important?
First, qualifying students receive healthy school meals at free or reduced cost. Submitting an application ensures your child receives the benefits they are eligible for as quickly as possible.
Second, these applications help our school receive critical funding. The number of approved applications directly impacts the amount of federal and state funding our school receives for:
• Academic programs and classroom resources
• Intervention services
• Instructional materials
• Student incentives such as our book vending machine
• Family engagement events and family nights
• Professional development for our teachers and staff
Even if your child does not plan to eat school meals, your completed application can still help bring additional resources to our entire school community.
Your information is confidential. Applications are processed privately and used only to determine eligibility for benefits and related funding. School staff do not have access to individual family income information, and students are not identified based on their eligibility status.
Applying is quick and easy. Please choose one of the following options:
• Return the paper form sent home with your child
• Contact our school office for assistance completing the form
If your financial situation changes at any time during the year, you may apply again.
